2021 - TEAM Paul vs TEAM Cory

• This was it, the BIG matchup we had all been waiting for. After 9 glorious years of The Hops Classic, we had finally come to the 10th anniversary and with it, the battle of the Co Founders. Many moons ago Cory and Paul set out on a spiritual journey to northwestern Washington, where they had hoped to find eternal consciousness. What they found instead was a golf course and a fuck ton of booze, which led to the creation of and first Hops Classic. The lead up to their epic showdown at Hops 10 was fierce, with numerous jabs back and forth. If only the play at the actual tournament had been that fierce we may have seen history made, but it wasn't to be. Team Cory got off to a hot start in rd 1 and never looked back. By the end of day 1 they were up 15-9. Cory spanked Paul like a red headed step child during the one v one match as he magically pulled a 76 out of his ass as a 14 handicap. Any hope team Paul had for winning was not so gently removed from them during the 10-2 morning round ass kicking of day 2. The final round didn't matter, but team Paul did manage to win it, possibly due to the fact that all of team Cory was blacking out celebrating their victory instead of competing...

• The Drunkest Man Award was given to Scott Lebas who couldn't manage to either set a working alarm, or just get his ass out of bed sunday morning which resulted in him missing his flight home and what I can only assume was a vicious tongue lashing from the wife.
