2023 - TEAM MURPH vs TEAM HUS

• This Hops went the way of many other before it when it was basically over after round 1. Team Hus jumped out to a substantial 10-2 lead after the first and never looked back. The closest Team Murph got to winning a round was a tie as most everyone on the team was looking to their captain for inspiration, and well... he went 0-4 and played like he'd been paid to lose. Team Hus meanwhile was led by multiple players going undefeated for the tourney. The lone highlight for Team Murph was that his first overall pick hit the first ever hole in 1 at the Hops on hole 17 of rd 4. We finally got to use the hole in 1 fund which covered roughly half of the dinner bill that night. Weitz covered the rest as is standard for hole in 1's... JUST KIDDING, he made everyone split the bill. Real cool Weitz, real cool.

• The Drunkest Man Award was given to Chris Grothkopp who decided to black himself out during the practice round at Wine Valley. We all went to a lovely mexican restaurant that evening where Chris took to the bathroom to unload ALL of his insides for the duration. He followed that performance up the next 2 days by attempting to outdrink the hangover and I for one would say he succeeded.
